More designers and consultants are using 3D Revit files and associated BIM objects to design, simulate and test buildings and their components.

Offering product information in BIM allows consultants, designers and contractors to easily access details about our popular projector mounts, flat-panel mounts, enclosures, video wall mounts, carts and stands in order to spec them into various projects. 3D BIM objects are a way for those involved in the architectural design and construction process to better coordinate a facility with fewer errors because necessary information is available for simulation before it is made permanent.

Systems Integrator SuperVision selected our AM300 and P2642T flat-panel mounts for a recent home theater installation project in Santa Monica, CA. Due to the layout of the rooms and the direction of light, the owner of the house needed mounts that had a certain amount of tilt and lateral shift for the LCD flat-panel displays, and liked our flat-panel mounts.

The AM300 was used to mount a NuVision 65” LCD in a room with 2-story glass walls on three sides. The sunlight reflections off the screen would pose a challenge, which was tackled by installing the AM300 that allows a wide range of movement with 90º of swivel for extra swingout from left or right. The Radial Glide® feature allows up to 10º of smooth tilt adjustment, putting the flat-panel at the perfect viewing angle. For more details read Cool Tool section below.

The P2642T tilting mount for flat-panels from 26” to 42” was used to mount a Sony KDL 40” LCD in the master bedroom. The LCD display was in a pop-up cabinet, and the built-in lateral shift in the P2642T was instrumental in centering the TV perfectly in the cabinet. A second P2642T was used in the bedroom foyer to mount a NuVision 40” LCD display that required a slight downward tilt. The mount features 10º of continuous tilt, putting the flat-panel at a perfect viewing angle.

Premier Mounts’ patent pending Radial Glide® technology is just one of the many cool tools provided with some of our projector and flat panel mounts, allowing for effortless tilt, rotation, pitch, roll and yaw adjustments. Our flat-panel mounts (such as the AM50B , PTM and VPM), allow the display to be supported from its true center of gravity through a radial-axis bearing surface. The display remains supported and in a fixed position once adjustment is complete. Our projector mounts (such as SPI and MAG ) use Radial Glide® to allow easy adjustments of up to 6° in any direction using both hands and slowly tilting it forward, backward and side-to-side. The desired position is locked in by simply tightening the screws in the spindle and bell housing.
